Astra Zeneca
This project consisted of renovating an in-house Quality Control (QC) in-vitro adventitious agent (IVAA) testing laboratory in Building 660 at AstraZeneca’s Frederick, MD facility to support both clinical and commercial biologics programs. The scope included constructing a new BSL-2 laboratory within existing QC administrative spaces, resulting in two adjacent lab environments: a cell culture/virus-negative lab with an airlock and a virus-positive lab, also equipped with an airlock. The electrical scope of work involved demolition of the existing space, designing, furnishing, and installing custom ceiling service panels and surface-mounted metal raceways, and the installation of four new panelboards and one transformer. All electrical work was carefully planned and executed to avoid disruption to ongoing building operations.
