Geico HQ
The Geico HQ project was a ~100,000 square foot tenant fit-out across five floors in downtown Bethesda and marks a significant move for Geico from their previous headquarters in Chevy Chase, which they had been in for 65 years. The new space offers much more modern construction and amenities for the Geico workforce. This was a fast-paced project for HITT, which required simultaneous work across all 5 floors. There were more than 100 poke-thru supported systems furniture which required careful furniture and structural coordination of nearly 200 separate core drills. The fast pace of the job presented procurement challenges with several pieces of equipment delivered with very little time to install within the schedule. Despite the complexity and challenges, including an extensive commissioning process, FBH delivered at a high level, earning praise from the HITT project team.
