The building consists of 6 levels and is used for the commercial manufacture of Unituxin. This is a pharmaceutical drug substance, specifically a biologic, manufactured using a genetically engineered host organism and is used to treat pediatric neuroblastoma (cancer that starts in the nervous system). The site is zero lot line/congested and the project is packed with services and utilities. 1st, 2nd, & 3rd Floors are dedicated ISO 7 and ISO 8 cleanroom spaces (15,000 SF). Cellar, 1st Interstitial Floor, 2nd Interstitial Floor & Roof (20,000 SF) are dedicated mechanical, electrical & process equipment space. As there is no walkable ceiling above the clean rooms much of the infrastructure (including lighting control backbone) needed to be provided on the interstitial floors. FBH led the extensive coordination of wall chases for the many different utilities required between the trades. A 2500A service backed by a 750kW roof- mounted natural gas generator powers the facility.
