Basis Independent Mclean is a private school providing education from age 2 through grade 12^th. The new location in Mclean is a repositioning of a Fredde Mac office building located in Tysons Corner.

The build out totaled 114,135 sf across 3 floors. The existing building included one of the largest atriums (by volume) in Fairfax County which was converted to the lunchroom and general congregation space for the school. For the gymnasium, half of the 2^nd floor slab was removed to provide the necessary ceiling space. To support the outdoor activities, the entire top deck of the parking garage was converted into playgrounds and sport courts.
